The City of Post Falls is diving into an underwater adventure this Halloween. On Friday, October 30, from 2:30 to 4:30 PM, City Hall at 408 N. Spokane Street welcomes families for Trick-or-Treat at Post Falls City Hall — a free, family-friendly afternoon of trick-or-treating, costumes, and Halloween fun built around an "Under the Sea" theme. Admission is free and costumes are encouraged, so come ready for treats and an underwater Halloween adventure.
For Black Bay Village families, it's a perfect early start to the Halloween season. The afternoon timing means little ones can enjoy the full costume-and-candy experience before dark, when trick-or-treating shifts to village front porches and streets. City staff and volunteers hand out treats, and the sea-themed decorations make City Hall a photo-worthy stop for mermaids, pirates, and deep-sea divers of all ages.
A few planning tips: arrive early, since free community events can draw a crowd; bring a candy bag or bucket for each child; and snap your costume photos in the afternoon light. If your little one is nervous about crowds, the first half hour tends to be calmer than the final stretch.
Then bring the celebration home to the village. On Halloween night, a few simple habits keep Black Bay Village streets safe and fun: leave your porch light on only if you're welcoming trick-or-treaters; add reflective tape or glow sticks to costumes so kids stay visible in shared parking areas; have a grown-up accompany young children; and inspect candy before it gets eaten.
Neighbors can help too — drive slowly through the community that evening, keep shared walkways clear of decorations and clutter, and keep pets secured behind a closed door so doorbell rings don't spark an escape. A little courtesy goes a long way on the busiest candy night of the year.
Between the City's Under the Sea afternoon and a well-lit village evening, Halloween 2026 has all the makings of a great one. We'll see you under the sea — and save us a piece of candy.
